Grouped by what the ground is like, not by how far away it is

Coverage lists are the easiest thing on a website to write. Anyone can name forty towns. What is actually useful to somebody about to spend money by the hour is knowing whether their ground is the quick kind or the slow kind, because that is what the estimate turns on.

So these pages are grouped by ground. The city and its districts are mostly enclosed back gardens with awkward access and nowhere to turn a trailer. The estuary and coastal towns get salt wind, thin soil on the exposed side and heavy sheltered growth on the other. Mid and east Devon is deep red soil that grows hard and holds water, so the season starts early and does not let up. The Teign valley and the moor edge are wet, steep and full of bracken.

Every place on the list has its own page written for what grows there and how a machine gets to it. Travel inside the covered area is in the hourly rate, and nothing on this site promises an arrival time, because a promised turnaround printed on a website is a number nobody can be held to.
